In no specific order:
Prototyping
Lemme tell ya, colored pencils and Play-Doh really brought me back to elementary school. Plus, learning a new method of interviewing really helped me create a good prototype for my partner. This day of hands-on learning was so much fun!
Period Panties
Learning everything there is to know about Thinx underwear was quite an…”interesting”…experience. However, presenting my newfound knowledge to a class of my peers was a whole other dimension of “interesting.” To this day, I can’t believe I talked about “natural cotton thongs” or “metric tampons,” but the fact that I literally said “viva la vagina” in an academic setting really takes the cake. But hey, a few laughs and a good grade. Totally worth it.
Hershey’s
I really love chocolate, so learning about the #1 chocolate manufacturer in the US has been an ‘treat’. Ha ha. It took my group a while to even choose a company, but we definitely made the right choice. And the overall experience of the major project has been great too. I’ve learned valuable lessons on how to work well with people who are different for me. This is the first team I’ve been on in the B-School with people who I don’t have much in common with. This collaborative experience will last me a lifetime.
YETI
R.I.P. in piece. Oh, what could have been.
Cross-Class Pitch Day
I was so nervous to do this exercise. This was one of my first presentations to the B-School EP’s, so I wanted to make sure I spoke succinctly and accurately regarding our company, Hershey’s, and our new product, Crumbles. In the end, all of these nerves were for nothing. Although, I stumbled a few times along the way, the EP’s were very accepting of our pitch and gave incredible feedback. Not did they do this in a positive manner, but they even offered several ideas that we adopted immediately into our product.
